The lovely folks from CUSTHOM came in last week to talk about their practice and do some design workshops with us. They introduced us to the digital embroidery machine and this is my first little sample!
I didn’t think digital embroidery was for me at all but after looking at their work and seeing the actual process I have a pretty new outlook on it and would love to experiment with it in the future.

I’ve cut out quite a few of these little trees recently and hung them in my above my desk. Layered together I think they create a really interesting space so I might play around with them a bit more.
You might be able to see a bit of Rob Ryan’s work in the background. He’s been a great reference for me having never really worked with paper cutting before, and his beard is pretty brilliant too!
April 29th | reblogLaser etched rose garland similar to the mirrored illustration I posted below. I want to use flowers to frame the central images, and by working on multiple pieces of card I can separate the layers.
